Situated right in the centre of Marrakech, the Hotel Islane just couldn’t be better located. Facing the Koutoubia Mosque, and only 5 minutes walk from the famous Jeema El Fna square, there’ll be no searching for taxis or long walks to the Guerlitz area hotels when staying here. The souks and other sights of Marrakech are also all within walking distance
The hotel built in 1990 was renovated in 2006 to provide 40 guest rooms on two floors. They are of a good size, clean and nicely decorated in a local Marrakech style and with wood flooring
Pride of the Islane is its roof top terrace and restaurant over looking the Katoubia Mosque and with views of Jeema El Fna square. Guests can sit outside here enjoying the ambiance while sipping a cocktail before enjoying lunch or dinner from a menu of traditional Moroccan and Italian cuisine. Breakfast is also served here as well.
Rating and advising on hotels around the world is a tricky business as standards and facilities vary so widely not to mention issues such as décor style, service levels and location with particular relevance to gay amenities.
We don’t pretend that we have got this right but our Pink Triangles are our attempt to give a personal assessment to enable comparisons to be made between the various properties in an area which we feature. Couple this with price and our hotel descriptions and you should be able to make a reasonable assessment.
