The Hotel de la Renaixenca is the sister of Hotel Romantic, which is situated just opposite on the other side of the road. Located in the heart of Sitges town centre, guests will find bars, clubs and restaurants right on their doorstep, and the beach is just a few minutes walk away.

This basic 2-storey nineteenth century building comprises of just 16 double guest rooms. Similar to the Romantic, although not as ornately decorated in fine arts and antique furniture, the Renaixenca offers a higher degree of privacy. There is no central reception area, or indeed a restaurant. These can be found in its partner hotel. However, its intimate little garden provides a haven for sun-worshippers and the little bar area is open to both guests and visitors alike – a great way to meet the locals if you are travelling on your own.

Simplicity is the key here, although services such as daily cleaning and towel/linen changes remain the same for either hotel. Although this hotel is largely frequented by gay men, there is an all-welcome policy here and there is a relaxed atmosphere.

Rating and advising on hotels around the world is a tricky business as standards and facilities vary so widely not to mention issues such as décor style, service levels and location with particular relevance to gay amenities.
