Opened in 2003, this 49 roomed property is owned and managed by Orient Express hotels. It’s very much a self-contained resort with two restaurants and bars, a superb fitness centre and spa and a beautiful beach. A stunning feature of the resort is the large infinity pool overlooking the beach. Located on the north shore of Koh Samui on a small hillock over-looking Maenam Beach and the sparkling sea, you’re around 20 minutes by road from either the airport or Chaweng.

All the rooms are in self-contained cottages scattered throughout the resort. Each is a suite with your own private terrace, indoor seating area, kingsize bed and private bathroom.

Rating and advising on hotels around the world is a tricky business as standards and facilities vary so widely not to mention issues such as décor style, service levels and location with particular relevance to gay amenities.
