Located right on Jomtien Beach and opposite the gay section with direct access from the pool area, Avalon is just five minutes walk from the Jomtien Complex with its mix of gay businesses. This is a modern hotel opened in 2005 with 79 rooms located in two wings overlooking either the pool or gardens. Garden rooms are located on the ground floor with direct access from their terraces to the pool whereas superior rooms are on levels 2 and 3 and enjoy a private furnished terrace.
The hotel is furnished in a typical rural Thai style with dark wood furnishings from the Chiang Mai region and large expanses of open-sided lounges and bars. There is a small snack bar open throughout the day where the complimentary breakfast is served. The pool has Jacuzzi style corners and there are plenty of sun terraces.
