Cape Town’s first gay hotel and ideally located near beautiful beaches
This casually chic Victorian-style boutique hotel blends the best elements of personalised hospitality with a discreet haven for the discerning gay traveller. It is perfectly located near beaches, many superb restaurants and the many gay bars and clubs of Dar Waterkant are just 10-minutes away as is Clifton No3 beach.
This is the first gay hotel in Cape Town, and it is entirely gay owned, managed and staffed.
Each of the fifteen guest rooms are individually-styled but all feature an en-suite bathroom with double volume shower, a private garden terrace or balcony and many have mountain or sea views. We offer a choice of standard rooms which are smaller and have a queen bed or larger deluxe rooms which have a king size bed.
A feature of the property is the spacious Moroccan-style steam room, traditional Swedish sauna, Jacuzzi and relaxation area terrace surrounding the swimming pool. So you can well and truly unwind and relax during your stay at The Glen. All these facilities are exclusively for the use of hotel guests and their friends.
The Glen is a small intimate resort, so please do not book your flights until we have confirmed your choice of accommodation is available.

Rating and advising on hotels around the world is a tricky business as standards and facilities vary so widely not to mention issues such as décor style, service levels and location with particular relevance to gay amenities.
We don’t pretend that we have got this right but our Pink Triangles are our attempt to give a personal assessment to enable comparisons to be made between the various properties in an area which we feature. Couple this with price and our hotel descriptions and you should be able to make a reasonable assessment.
