Barcelona's Gay Designer Hotel
Axel Hotels first property opened in 2003 – there is now an Axel Hotel in both Buenos Aires and Barcelona - was targetted at gay men and lesbians and categorises itself as heterofriendly.
On the corner of c/Diputacion in the very centre of the Eixample or Gayxample, you’ll also be only five minute walking distance from Las Ramblas, the Gothic Quarter, and the Plaza Catalunya. The nearest underground station is "Universitat". The hotel is surrounded by shops, gay bars, clubs and saunas and restaurants.
The hotel’s guest rooms are medium in size, and all have their own personality responding to an exclusive avant-garde design. The room’s are soundproofed and air conditioned with king size beds, flat screen TV and Internet connection. Interior rooms are with shower while the exterior are with a bathtub. On the roof is the hotel’s stunning pool and sun terraces with a fitness room, sauna and hot tub.
The Axel Hotel has recently been recognised by Trip Advisor as one of their Top Ten Gay & Lesbian friendly hotels in Europe
