This elegant hotel dates back to 1897 and enjoys a central location at the heart of East Berlin between Alexanderplatz and the Hackesche Höfe. Lying on a peaceful side street in the historical centre of East Berlin, it's just a short walk to Alexanderplatz, the TV tower, the state opera and the concert hall on the famous Unter den Linden.
Links to the public transport network are good with a U-bahn station 200 meters from the hotel. The gay bars and clubs of Prenzlauer Berg are just 5 minutes away on the U-bahn and those of the West 25 minutes away ay Nollendorf Platz Tempelhof, Tegel and Schönefeld airports are 8, 11 and 20 km away respectively and can be reached within 20-30 minutes.
The hotel has 92 rooms over six floors and was renovated in 2005. The 19th century façade contrasts starkly with the impressive modern interiors which is fully air-conditioned and offers all services. There is a café, bar, bistro and restaurant with a conservatory overlooking the patio. There is also a wellness centre with sauna, steam room and relaxation patio.
