Europe, Berlin
Justifiably our most popular hotel
The Alsterhof enjoys a great location for those who want shopping and the gay bars and clubs of the former West Berlin. Around 10 minutes walk from the airport bus-stop and next to a subway station, it's less than 200m from the Ka-De-We and Quelle department stores and the Ku’damm fashion area. Across the road is the Fuggerstrasse which marks the start of the gay area.
It’s a modern hotel renovated in 2007 with 200 rooms on 7 floors. There is a roof top gym and sauna and the breakfast room and restaurant open out onto a conservatory with direct access to the beer garden. A wonderful place to relax in after a days sightseeing and before going out for the evening.

Rating and advising on hotels around the world is a tricky business as standards and facilities vary so widely not to mention issues such as décor style, service levels and location with particular relevance to gay amenities.
We don’t pretend that we have got this right but our Pink Triangles are our attempt to give a personal assessment to enable comparisons to be made between the various properties in an area which we feature. Couple this with price and our hotel descriptions and you should be able to make a reasonable assessment.
