Europe, Cologne
A trendy and modern hotel with a central location
Built in 2003 with 391 rooms over six floors, the Radisson is Cologne’s newest hotel. It’s located next to Colognes Trade Fair Exhibition Centre so is a ten minute tram ride from the Heumarkt and two stops more to Rudolfplatz. There is a taxi rank outside the hotel.
The hotel is very much in the current designer style of hotels – minimalist but with trendy lighting and lots of high-tec goodies to play with. There is a stunning atrium lobby housing a wine bar and restaurant and the water gardens have terraces and sun loungers.
Whilst often busy with business men during the week, the style and features of the hotel make it popular with gay and lesbian visitors during weekends.

Rating and advising on hotels around the world is a tricky business as standards and facilities vary so widely not to mention issues such as décor style, service levels and location with particular relevance to gay amenities.
We don’t pretend that we have got this right but our Pink Triangles are our attempt to give a personal assessment to enable comparisons to be made between the various properties in an area which we feature. Couple this with price and our hotel descriptions and you should be able to make a reasonable assessment.
