Self-catering Gay Resort in San Agustin
This special all-gay resort is owned by an Italian gay man who has over the past ten years developed superb tropical gardens which surround the various apartments. Lush palms soften the circular buildings and provide welcome shade around the pool. But it is the rooftop solarium with its four poster sun loungers and stunning views over the beach and out to sea that attract most gay men. Yes - this is the only gay resort in Gran Canaria which overlooks the beach and ocean !
San Agustin is a 5 euros taxi ride nearer the airport than Playa del Ingles. It's a quieter resort area, more local Spanish in atmosphere and without the large shopping centres.of Playa. Yet there are plenty of welcoming small bars and family owner restaurants close by to enjoy. Many visitors rent a car picked-up from the airport so saving the taxi transfer and having the freedom to explore the island as well as Playa and the dunes.
The apartments are either studios for two people with small kitchenettes or larger one-bedroom apartments with a sofa bed in the lounge and also a kitchenette. Breakfast is an optional extra which is cheaper when pre-paid as part of your holiday cost.

Rating and advising on hotels around the world is a tricky business as standards and facilities vary so widely not to mention issues such as décor style, service levels and location with particular relevance to gay amenities.
We don’t pretend that we have got this right but our Pink Triangles are our attempt to give a personal assessment to enable comparisons to be made between the various properties in an area which we feature. Couple this with price and our hotel descriptions and you should be able to make a reasonable assessment.
