This minimalist hotel was built in 1989 according to the design of Philippe Starck and consists of six floors with a total of 204 rooms including suites and lofts with large windows. The design combines architectural features ranging from the modern to Baroque. Hotel facilities include a lobby with a 24-hour reception, a safe, a currency exchange desk, a cloakroom, a conference room, lifts as well as a garage and car parking spaces. Dining options include a café, a popular bar featuring a unique design, lights show and photographs from Jean Baptiste Mondino as well an exquisite and well-known air-conditioned restaurant with a separate non-smoking area. Hotel guests have the option of using the Internet access as well as the room and laundry services available. The Rum Bar is located at the edge of the restaurant and has a bar area serving over a hundred types of Rum. It is a standing bar and has a series of custom-designed high lean-on tables.

This hotel is situated at the heart of lively Covent Garden, in the theatre district and only a few minutes walk from countless entertainment and shopping venues, restaurants and museums. Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Soho and the commercial district are all to be found in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

From the comfortable rooms, which are furnished and designed by Philippe Starck, guests are able to enjoy the beautiful view out over the centre of London. They come with en suite bathroom facilities with a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV and Internet access. The Light Bar serves speciality drinks and cocktails and on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays there is a DJ in the bar playing a variety of music. Guests must be 21 years or older and a resident to be admitted.
