Imagine a palm fringed fine sand beach curving gently around a bay with a promenade over a mile long. Behind the beach road is a network of streets and alley ways that offer visitors not only a wide choice of shopping and places to eat but also some exciting gay nightlife.
By day the beach is the centre of attraction with a busy gay section squeezed between the tourist police station and the beach patrol lookout tower. Here you can rent jet-skis, parasailing and long-tail boat rides as well as the usual sun-loungers and parasols.
By night the focus switches to the Paradise Centre where the alley ways and bars come alive with a wide variety of gay bars and clubs – some “commercial” and some not - and, with the warm nights, everyone spills out into the streets to mix and mingle.

All our Patong Beach hotels have been personally inspected and confirmed as welcoming to gay men and lesbians, either individually or as a couple. As is common throughout Thailand, if you invite a “joiner” back to your room, they will be required to deposit their ID card at reception for your and the hotel’s protection and a small “joiner’s fee” may be charged.
