Located in Copacabana, the Augusto is three blocks from the beach in the centre of the bars and clubs district. Ipanema with its gay bars is around 25 minutes walk or a short taxi ride away
This is a simple hotel with pleasant, if somewhat small rooms and a friendly welcoming atmosphere but with none of the frills of more costly Rio hotels. There is a small roof-top pool offering stunning views of Sugar Loaf mountain and Corovado.
