Great value hotel in a superb location
South American is located on the peninsular between Ipanema and Copacabana beaches so you are well placed for the attractions of both. It’s a safe neighbourhood with lots of small shops and a friendly welcoming atmosphere. It’s around 10 minutes to the gay bars and clubs of rua Farme de Amoeda and slightly less to Copacaban clubs.
The hotel has a bustling atmosphere with the lobby seemingly always busy but rooms are well sound proofed from the noise of the city. Behind this, is a quieter bar area to relax in and an internet café. There is a small roof-top pool with terraces and a fitness suite.
