North America, Las Vegas
Egyptian themes at the South End of The Strip
Conveniently located on the quieter southern section of the Las Vegas Strip, Luxor is two miles from the International Airport and is convenient for all that Vegas has to offer, It’s a large hotel with over 4400 guest rooms in either the pyramid or tower buildings. The pyramid rooms are located within the 30 storey pyramid building – topped by a powerful light-beam - and so have a sloping external window wall.
There is a relaxed fun-time air to Luxor with a more restrained presence of gaming and slot-machines than in many Vegas hotels - it is quite possible to enjoy a stay here without ever going near the casinos. The night club, LAX, is a popular spot with the local gay community although not exclusively gay. The buffet and fine dining restaurants line the food row and two theatres provide first class evening shows.
The five-acre pool complex contains two seasonal pools, two spa tubs, rental cabanas, and a poolside bar. For a small local payment, there is an Adults Only section where children are not allowed, sun-loungers can be reserved all day and soft drinks are complimentary.
A 12,000-square-foot health spa includes men's and women's relaxation lounges, saunas, steam rooms, and spa tubs (surcharges). The spa's fitness centre contains cardio and weight machines, free weights, and plasma TVs.
All prices shown include all local taxes – often as much as 19% - for the facilities shown. Any extras including a Resort Fee are payable locally during your stay.

Rating and advising on hotels around the world is a tricky business as standards and facilities vary so widely not to mention issues such as décor style, service levels and location with particular relevance to gay amenities.
We don’t pretend that we have got this right but our Pink Triangles are our attempt to give a personal assessment to enable comparisons to be made between the various properties in an area which we feature. Couple this with price and our hotel descriptions and you should be able to make a reasonable assessment.
