If it’s Art Deco style you are seeking then it has to be our gay managed Hotel Astor. Located on 10th & Washington, you’ll be in the heart of the fashion district staying in one of South Beach’s original hotels built in 1936. Extensively refurbished in 2002, the hotel offers just 40 bedrooms all with a distinctive Art Deco touch.
The striking lobby defines haute minimalism at its very best with unique features such as: the original 1936 Vitrolite wall panels and a vertical water sculpture feature in the garden viewed through the Art Deco pained windows.
All rooms offer similar amenities including the Astor’s signature contemporary headboard design that lightly suggests a ship's porthole. Upgraded rooms are larger and feature seating areas or a separate bedroom.
Our prices include all taxes on the items shown on your voucher. Any extras including resort fees will be charged locally.
Rating and advising on hotels around the world is a tricky business as standards and facilities vary so widely not to mention issues such as décor style, service levels and location with particular relevance to gay amenities.
We don’t pretend that we have got this right but our Pink Triangles are our attempt to give a personal assessment to enable comparisons to be made between the various properties in an area which we feature. Couple this with price and our hotel descriptions and you should be able to make a reasonable assessment.
