This ranch week is the real “Brokeback Mountain.” Located 30 miles from Yellowstone National Park, the Lazy E-L is a working cattle ranch with 12,000 acres and 2,000 head of cattle. From the lodge porch enjoy views of 12,500-foot peaks and wide open pastures. The scenery and the cattle drives will remind you of riding with Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal; however, the lodge is far more comfortable than a tent and the food is much better than beans from a can.

Ah Wilderness! Bid farewell to the world of emails, faxes, and phones as we plunge into the wild and rugged Beartooth Mountains. The Beartooth Range is a one million acre expanse of sparkling lakes, snow-capped peaks, and glacier-scoured canyons. Carpeted in wildflowers and abounding with wildlife, these mountains are a nature-lover’s paradise. With backpacks, we’ll explore this wilderness, hiking its trails, camping by its lakes, and trekking to its peaks.
