Adventure Holiday

Copper River Rafting
Copper River Rafting

July 16th-24th, 2008.

This wilderness rafting expedition begins with a scenic drive through the Alaska Range and a night at an historic lodge. Next we launch the rafts in the Copper River and the excitement begins immediately as we paddle through dramatic Wood Canyon. The Copper River cuts through the coastal Chugach Mountains and we will enjoy incredible scenery the entire 100 mile raft trip. At the climax, we paddle through Abercrombie rapids and then past two glaciers which dump into the river as the Copper exits the mountains. The river trip ends in the port town of Cordova, which is not accessible by road so we will take a jaw-dropping small plane flight back to our rafting put in.

Bear Lovers Adventure
Bear Lovers Adventure

July 26th-31st, 2008 - OUT IN ALASKA.

These bears are big and hairy and the real thing! On this adventure to Katmai National Park we will visit the famous Brooks Falls. This is the amazing place, which you have likely seen in photos, where bears catch salmon in a waterfall. We will camp at Brooks Camp, which is protected by electric fence from all of the bears that wander about! While in Katmai, we will also hike and explore the Valley of the 10,000 smokes – the dramatic crater of Novarupta volcano.
